In addition to the flower show, the area is also famous for the vibrant King's Road shopping area. King's Road reached its peak in the 60s as it came to define swinging London and onto the 70's where designer Vivienne Westwood opened her fashion store and label, starting the punk rock scene. The hospital is still used today for the reasons it was erected, to house ex-servicemen in retirement.
